Best Cafes in Kadıkoy

Asuman

Indulging at Asuman is a blissful journey into chocolate heaven! Their signature melted chocolate cups adorned with fresh fruits are a delightful treat for the senses. The ambiance is charming, with a design that adds to the overall experience. Now, with the addition of a new bakery offering, the menu has expanded to cater to even more sweet cravings. Personally, the Pistachio Paris Breast stole my heart. Asuman is a must-visit for anyone seeking a decadent escape into the world of sweets.

Story Cafe

Story Cafe lives up to its name, offering a cozy interior that feels like stepping into a new chapter of a captivating tale. The ambiance is inviting, inspiring patrons to create their own narratives over delicious desserts and well-crafted coffee. With its charming setting and delightful menu, Story Cafe is the perfect spot to relax, unwind, and maybe even pen your own story.

Rawsters Moda

Rawsters Moda

Rawsters Moda offers the best view in the area, overlooking the Moda coast from above. It’s the perfect spot to relax after a walk along Moda Sahil, whether you’re reading a book or simply unwinding. While their desserts are average, the coffee is excellent, and they also offer breakfast options.

Lil Bake

Lil Bake is a croissant lover’s paradise! Their buttery croissants, especially the ones with almonds, are a true delight and my personal favorite. However, their other desserts are equally scrumptious. From flaky pastries to decadent treats, each bite is a burst of flavor. With a small branch in Moda and now a larger one in Yoğurtçu Parkı, Lil Bake continues to charm dessert enthusiasts with its irresistible creations.

Village Cafe and Eatery

Village Cafe Eatery

Whether you’re craving a caffeine fix, a sweet treat, or a savory meal, Village Cafe and Eatery promises a memorable culinary journey in a charming setting. Despite its small exterior, the interior is a captivating oasis adorned with charming murals on the walls, setting the stage for a cozy experience. Indulging in their carrot cake is a heavenly affair; it’s the puffiest I’ve savored in recent memory.

Coffee Manifesto

Coffee Manifesto stands out for its excellent coffee and laid-back, stylish vibe. Their motto, “Ask Stupid Questions,” adds a playful touch, printed on cups, t-shirts, and more. With three branches in Kadıköy—center, Yeldeğirmeni, and Moda—they’ve become not only my favorite but also other locals’ favorite as well.

Nazım Hikmet Kültür Merkezi

Welcome to the haven of poetry and culture, dedicated to the illustrious Turkish poet, Nazım Hikmet. Nestled amidst a sprawling garden, this oasis is best enjoyed in good weather, though finding a seat might be a delightful challenge. Whether you’re sipping tea or beer, accompanied by crispy potato chips, this place offers something to satiate every appetite.
Beyond its culinary delights, this venue doubles as a hub for dance, language, photography, and various other courses. Occasionally, the intimate stage hosts events, though I must admit, the lack of gradual rows sometimes hampers the view from the back.

Borboleta

Situated in Moda, hidden among the other cafes, Borboleta attracts attention with its blue-white design. They have variety of desserts on the menu including gluten and sugar-freee options. The elegance of the porcelains they use, the hospitality of the staff set them apart from the others.

Beyaz Fırın

My go-to place for polka, not even comparable to the ones I have tried at other cafes. Other than desserts, their bakery section is also good. They have two branches in Kadıköy, one in the center and one in Moda. The one in center does not have much seating place; the one in Moda is better in that sense. Also, they serve food options in Moda branch.
